Roots is a series that explores the delicacy of organic objects and the memory behind where the objects were collected. This series reflects time spent in nature and the recording of specific memories. Memory is a constant changing and ephemeral notion. Instead of documentation using the photographic image, these are objects that recall delicate moments that have faded away. These sculptures are in turn ephemeral and are not meant to last forever, this mimicking the natural cycle of the natural world, including ones own account of a memory made.
